Position Summary
Level 2 MSP Support Technician
We are seeking an experienced and personable Level 2 MSP Support Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in help desk or technical support, a strong background in managing and troubleshooting IT systems, and excellent interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients. This role involves monitoring and maintaining clients’ IT infrastructure, resolving technical issues, and implementing new IT solutions. Candidates should be prepared for on-call availability one week per month to address urgent client needs outside of regular business hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for clients’ IT systems and applications.
- Proactively monitor and maintain clients’ IT infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
- Collaborate with the team to implement new IT solutions and technologies for clients.
- Document all support activities and maintain accurate records of client configurations.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their IT needs and provide timely updates on support tickets.
- Be available for on-call hours one week per month to address urgent client needs.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a help desk or technical support role.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to work independently.
- Proficiency with MSP tools and platforms.
- Solid experience with Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, and Office 365.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, AZ-900, MS-900, AZ-104 and CCNA.
- Prior experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
- Solid experience scripting with PowerShell
